Enhanced partner programme to build and support resellers
for WLAN range
New staff to drive campaign
November 8, 2004 - London, England - Madge, one
of the leading networking brands has today announced a comprehensive
programme to support its partners around the world. Currently Madge
has 40 WLAN resellers and plans to increase this to 140 by the end
of 2005, working closely with its distributors: Ingram, Westcon, and
Northamber.
Madge will build on its dominant position and experience in the mature
Token Ring market to strengthen its presence in the fast growing wireless
market through the development of innovative enterprise wireless LAN
products and a strong partner programme. Madge will concentrate on
security and manageability using a combination of OEM, intellectual
property acquisition and development.
The partner programme includes marketing tools, trade show participation,
special promotions, regular communication, development support and
access to hardware and software. Madge has recruited additional channel
sales and support staff in UK, Europe and USA.
New staff include: Mark Powley has been appointed field sales manager
in UK responsible for development of WLAN partners, he is supported
by Howard Patience. In Germany, Matthias Todd joins the WLAN reseller
development team. In USA, Keith Mastrain joins Madge to develop resellers
in North East seaboard. Kathleen McGill-Has joins the Detroit facility
in sales support.
In the UK resellers include: Abtec, Computerlab, Focused Networks,
Garingdell, 802 Distribution, NMC Networks PC World Business, Sire
and Syscomm.
In addition to its extensive Token Ring customer base, Madge already
has an established installed WLAN base including Charles Wells Brewery,
Frankfurt Airport, San Diego Zoo and many US Universities.
