Once promiscuous mode has been disabled using this method, it cannot be re-enabled. |
To permanently disable promiscuous mode using Windows 2000, XP or ME and the NDIS 5 driver MDGNDIS5.SYS:
Specify the KILL_PM parameter to Assist.

Do not modify the .INF file (as recommended for the NDIS 3 and NDIS 4 drivers), because this invalidates the certification for the NDIS 5 driver. |
