Note - If you still do not find a resolution
to your problem then your faulty units must be returned
via a Certified Wireless Partner.
- Not supported on token ring adapters
- Only supported on Windows 98/Me/2000/XP
- Check Ethernet or wireless adapter is correctly installed in PC
- Reinstall Wireless Network Manager

- Check LEDs
- PWR should be orange if powered.
- ALV should blink once a second while operating
correctly
- RF and LAN flash according to activity
- Check Ethernet is connected to suitable hub/switch
- Unplug, wait 5 seconds and power up again
LED definitions
ALV: Alive. Blinks when the advanced wireless
AP is working normally.
RF: Activity on IEEE 802.11b interface
LAN: Activity on Ethernet LAN interface
PWR: Power on

- Select discover AP from the Action Menu
- Check AP is powered and correctly functioning
- Check PC and AP are connected to same ethernet segment
- Check PC network functionality: web browsing, ping remote host
etc.

- Follow instructions in the User
Guide. Install the Adapter, then the driver and then the configuration
utility.
- Check PC card support in BIOS
- Uninstall and start again according to manufacturers instructions
- Windows 9x/2000/XP
- Go to device manager and delete adapter
- Power down
- Insert adapter, start OS and allow adapter to be autodetected
- Point to driver directory D:\PcCard\Driver where D: is the
drive letter of your CD ROM.
- NT
- Control panel networks remove adapter
- Reboot
- Control panel networks add adapter
- Point to directory D:\PcCard\Driver where D: is the drive
letter of your CD ROM.

- Uninstall everything and power down
- Re install as per the User
Guide. Install the drivers and then the PCI adapter.

- WLAN Utility only runs on Windows 98/Me/2000
- Check adapter and driver are correctly loaded and enabled.
- Reboot PC and try again
- Reinstall WLAN Utility

- Click several time on the Rescan button
- Check AP is powered, and correctly functioning
- Check AP is broadcasting SSID (use Wireless Network Manager)
- Configure SSID on client same as for AP
- Reboot client and try again

- Check AP is powered and correctly functioning
- Perform a Rescan in the AP Browser, select an AP and click the
Join button
- Check status screen.....associated?
- Run ipconfig or winipcfg
- Can you get an IP address?
- Can you ping a known server/host
- Check security parameters:
- encryptions keys if used should be same on client and AP
- certificates should be installed if used
- check user names
- check consistent SSID
- authentication protocols should match
- check Radius server parameters
- For test purposes on an isolated network, disable all security
and try again. Do not do this on a live network
- Check default AP configuration in the AP
